Your homework assignment

I have a homework assignment for you.... this week, do something spontaneous. Remember, life is short. If you're not careful it will pass you by.

Okay J-Wo, I took your advice. I read it and said, he's right, I need to just go for it and take a risk. I sent a text to a friend that I've been in love with but never asked out. I told her that she was very important to me and that I hoped we could eventually be more than friends. She texted back almost immediately "what took you so long?"!!

We talked on the phone for an hour after that about how stupid it was for us both to pretend we weren't interested because we were worried about the feelings not being mutual. How else will you ever know if you don't talk about it??

Thanks for the push. That was the advice I needed to hear!

I'm calling off sick tomorrow and going hiking. You're right, life is way too short not to take care of your mental health.

Not a very daring move, but I went shopping today after work and bought myself something shiny instead of my usual routine!
It felt good to do something spontaneous!

Life IS too short and i'm hoping to have my "spontaneous" moment this weekend. i feel like i don't want to hold back anymore...i'm ready! i actually call these my carrie moments..."you better make it count cause you can't get it back."

This sounds a bit silly, but I'm aquaphobic, and I have a fear of being underwater. This was a pain growing up, because I never learned to swim and kids never understood that I had a legitimate fear. So today I completely dunked my head underwater for the first time in about 10 years. I know that sounds really dumb to normal people, but it was a big deal for me. Now, I'm finally trying to overcome that fear. Wish me luck!

Cassie Kay, that's not silly at all- it's brave that you are trying to conquer a fear.

I walked into a music store today and signed up for guitar lessons. I've always wanted to do that! I did it!! I take guitar lessons now- YEAHHH!!!
